LABORATORY TESTS

All our laboratory tests our performed by The Doctors Laboratory TDL, and RANDOX HEALTH. Both offer many different pathology tests (mainly blood), most of which can be arranged through our service. Blood tests performed at The Poundbury Clinic  are couriered to London any weekday from our clinic or posted if taken elsewhere. Blood tests performed at Kingston Wing, Yeovil, will be processed there, and you will be charged separately by the hospital (this excludes pre-paid medicals).

Results are usually available within 48 hours, but sometimes sooner, and will be emailed to you. A doctor will email you or ring you to discuss the results. If a longer consultation is required for follow-up, you will be charged accordingly (a consultation or clinical investigation administration fee).

Your charge from WPGP will include venesection (taking of blood), the laboratory costs and the follow-up as described.
