Matt grew up in London and also comes from a family of doctors. He qualified at Kings College, London in 2002, and then spent three years working in Australia and New Zealand – an experience which broadened his medical perspective considerably.
On returning to the UK in 2006, he settled in Dorset where he completed his General Practice training at Dorset County Hospital, and obtained a post-graduate diploma in his special interest of Palliative/End of Life Care working at hospices in Somerset and Dorset.
Matt takes a personal, holistic approach to medicine, focusing on preventative care and health maintenance – encouraging good communication, and valuing personal relationships with patients and their families.
He is married with two young children. A keen and active sportsman, Matt also competes in endurance events including international long-distance triathlons.
