Mark has been a dedicated general practitioner since 1992, combining his commitment to primary care with his love for the outdoors. For over three decades, he served as a partner at the Sixpenny Handley and Broad Chalke practice in rural North Dorset, balancing his work with a deep appreciation for his family, the land and sea.
Throughout his career, Mark has taken on varied roles, including GP partner, GP trainer, and school medical officer, with particular interest in diabetes, respiratory medicine, mental health, and paediatrics. He has a strong focus on supporting older patients, tailoring care to meet their unique needs.
Mark prioritises patient care while enjoying the freedom to pursue other interests. At home, he lives with his wife Annie in a house overlooking the Blackmore Vale, where their grown children visit and their five dogs keep them busy.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys gardening, DIY projects, maintaining his old Mercedes SL500, and staying active. A former sportsman, he is enjoying more travel opportunities, exploring new cultures and embracing opportunities to expand his horizons.
