DR CHARLES MIDDLE
Charlie is known as a kind and empathetic doctor who likes to give the patient time to be heard and understood.
Charlie is known as a kind and empathetic doctor who likes to give the patient time to be heard and understood.
Having grown up in a medical family, Charlie has a deep-rooted passion for medicine and primary care and has served as a Doctor within the NHS since qualifying from St Thomas’ Hospital, London, in 1989. He has worked as a full-time Partner with a General Practice in Dorset for 24 years, and as a school medical officer for 19 years.
A varied training included General Surgery, ENT, and orthopaedics, and a Diploma in Sports Medicine. His expert areas of interest comprise orthopaedic medicine, minor surgery, mental health and adolescent medicine (albeit these interests are not exhaustive).
While promoting the merits of a traditional face-to-face appointment, he appreciates the value and flexibility that remote access provides during busy modern life.
An appointment with Charlie at WPGP will ensure patients the freedom to discuss any aspect for their health and welfare, whilst providing the guaranteed time and expertise of a trusted GP.
As a dedicated member of his local community, he serves as Chairman of the Sherborne Voluntary Ambulance, a service enabling the elderly, disabled and learning disabled to access shopping, leisure, and social activities.
Charlie has three grown up children and lives with his wife in West Dorset. He is fanatical about cricket, though more as a spectator than participant these days, and watching live sport, particularly Liverpool Football club. In his free time, he enjoys walking the Wessex Ridgeway and Dorset countryside with his dog.
